The Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) is holding its 2022 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 25th, from 6 to 8 PM on the second floor of its Cambridge office, located at 1046 Cambridge St. MAPS members and the public are invited to attend to hear about the nonprofit health and social service organization’s accomplishments during the past fiscal year.
MAPS members are encouraged to apply themselves or submit the names of other community members who might be interested in joining the organization’s Board by contacting Lois Josimovich, MAPS Director of Development, by October 20, 2022, by emailing ljosimovich@maps-inc.org, or by phone at (617) 864-7600. If you are interested in running for a Board position and are not yet a MAPS member, you can easily join online at maps-inc.org/join and then submit your Board nomination.
During the meeting, MAPS volunteers and staff members will receive a Certificate of Appreciation to recognize their many hours of service to the organization and the community, and a light buffet dinner and refreshments will be served.
“We are thrilled to be returning to in-person meetings this year and to be able to welcome our community to our Cambridge office,” said Paulo Pinto, MPA, MAPS CEO. “It will be a great pleasure to share our major accomplishments and challenges of the past fiscal year face-to-face with our many friends, members, volunteers, and staff.”
MAPS has served the Portuguese-speaking communities of Massachusetts and others since 1970. The organization offers a wide range of free health and social services through its six offices in Cambridge, Somerville, Brighton, Dorchester, Framingham, and Lowell.
