The Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers (MAPS) is holding its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 22, from 6 to 8 PM in the second floor community center of its Cambridge Office, located at 1046 Cambridge St. MAPS members and the public are invited to attend to hear about the nonprofit health and social service organization’s accomplishments during the past fiscal year.

MAPS members will also have the opportunity to vote for Board members in the Annual Election, and to take part in recognizing MAPS volunteers receiving Certificates of Appreciation.

The organization is accepting Board nominations from current MAPS members in good standing at its Cambridge Office through October 18. If you are interested in running for a Board position and are not yet a MAPS member, you can join online at maps-inc.org/becomeamember and then submit your Board nomination by contacting Lucinda Morais at (617) 864-7600. A light buffet dinner and refreshments will be served during the meeting.

“We are looking forward to celebrating last year’s accomplishments with our members and our communities,” said Paulo Pinto, MPA, MAPS Executive Director. “Thanks to the generous support of our funders, donors and community members, MAPS completed fiscal year 2019 in a very strong financial position, and we are thrilled to share the details of the past year with the many members who support us throughout the year.”
