As the office’s first point of contact with the public, the Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is
based at the Cambridge Office front desk and is responsible for greeting and assisting all
individuals who contact MAPS. This position ensures that clients and visitors are promptly and
appropriately referred. The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant is also responsible for
addressing and coordinating office maintenance and operational needs in a timely manner. Key
responsibilities include:

  • Greeting clients, visitors, and other individuals who contact or visit the office.
  • Scheduling and coordinating client appointments.
  • Answering and directing calls using the multi-line phone system.
  • Maintaining an organized, welcoming, and professional front desk and office
    environment.
  • Providing general clerical and administrative support to programs and staff.
  • Faxing, copying, filing, and completing other routine office tasks.
  • Assisting with preparing payment requisitions
  • Maintaining and updating the client database
  • Monitoring office supplies and placing orders as needed.
  • Performing special assignments as needed and assist with organizational events.

Qualifications: High School diploma, BA preferred, excellent communications and
interpersonal skills, strong computer skills and organizational skills. Bilingual/Bicultural
in Portuguese/ English. Previous experience in office administration, reception, or
clerical support.


Starting annual salary range commensurable with experience and education: $45.000-$50.000
